Logbooks and registries
One case, every logbook.
Choose a sample case. Every report format Opus produces is shown with the cells its exporter emits for that case, as CSV, XLSX or PDF. Nothing on this page is typed by hand: it is the output of the same code that runs in the app.
Left hand, punch. Closed, simple shaft fracture of the fifth metacarpal, open reduction and a straight 1.5 mm plate; SET 3 trainee as surgeon with the consultant scrubbed.

Opus is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by SNOMED International, the Australian Digital Health Agency, the AO Foundation or the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, the American College of Surgeons (AJCC), the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, or any other training body whose report layouts it can produce. Each format is laid out from that body's published field list or template, named on its card. Training-body reports leave patient identifiers out by default.
RACS MALT
The MALT form, field by field.
Every field in the Morbidity Audit Logbook Tool (MALT) list of fields and values (Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, September 2022), in MALT's own order, and what Opus does with it. The table is generated from the same definition the exporter and the in-app entry assistant read, so it cannot describe a field as prepared unless the exporter produces that column.
Prepared: deterministic from what you recorded, exported as MALT's exact value string. Suggested: a judgement call Opus can make but should not make silently; exported under a header ending "(suggested)" and shown in the entry assistant for you to confirm. Entered in MALT: Opus does not ask for it; mostly administrative fields that belong to the hospital record.
MALT has no documented bulk import, so Opus prepares the values and you enter them: a queue of cases due, an assistant with a copy button per field, and a record of what has been entered that flags a case edited afterwards.

Also in the app
- 10 report formats, filterable by period, rotation, hospital or specialty.
- A complete data export (CSV, FHIR R4, PDF) for your own records, separate from these purpose-built reports.
- Every diagnosis and procedure carries a SNOMED CT concept from the International Edition, so a future mapping to a college's reporting terms starts from a code, not a free-text name.
